Who Is TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Not many platforms at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
